Street Performers for Medieval and Renaissance Events

The Flag Throwers of the Districts of Cori offer their talents for medieval and Renaissance festivals in various formations, perfect for highly popular events, but also for traditional dinners. As only street performers can, they bring noise and life to a historic tournament, a reenactment of the past, honoring the local lady and lord.

The tradition of medieval events lies in forgetting the misery of everyday life for a few days, paying homage to subversion, to the change of rules. This is the essence of Carnival: to show how the world changes when authority is not respected.

Originally, the flag throwers were symbols of war, the ancient leaders of armies, the diplomats of states entering the Renaissance. However, modern warfare techniques have highlighted the skill and virtuosity with flags, choreographies, and twirls.

Today, to make medieval events or historical reenactments full of colors and flag performances, the flag throwers are essential. They animate taverns, cheer for the fastest horse, and glorify the gates of Tuscan, Roman, or the hills of Romagna and Piedmont villages.
